Work's steps:
TELLING
ABOUT ME
In each country, students create short personal presentations
in movies. Then their teacher groups all videos together, and publish the whole
video on the twinspace.
ABOUT OUR SCHOOLS/AREAS
Pupils present
their schools and their areas through photos or videos
OUR EUROPEAN MATH WORLD
Our students are going to
discover some cultural places of their local or national heritage linking them
to math topics or workshops. Each partner organizes one (or several if possible) field trip(s) in
its country for its own students.
For each field trip, students
send a postcard to each partner country from the place visited, with short explanations
about the site they discovered and about the corresponding math workshop they
did (or will do after). During the field trip, teachers and students take some
pictures and videos in order to create a global video about all they did.
THE BIG MATH WORLD CONTEST
In the end of each field trip, pupils have to create 3
questions whose answers are in the film they published on the twinspace. All questions are regrouped in an only
transnational quiz : "The Big Math
World Contest". All pupils having participated in the project can answer
the quiz, and perhaps win some prizes offered by all the countries involved in the
project.
BONUS ACTIVITIES
1) Chat sessions/Videoconferences
Pupils could chat on the twinspace, or use skype to do
videoconferences.
2) Let's celebrate the pi day (March 14th)
The partners who will have the opportunity to celebrate
the pi day can publish some pictures or videos.
